Post subject: | An AusMini Business Card option? |
Hi folks. In my recent travels i have bumped into a couple of Mini owners in car parks and the like and started chatting and have always directed them to AusMini.com (I've got the sticker on my rear window ![]() ![]() Now, i know somebody previously has posted a Word Document (i think ![]() That's great and i'm not meaning any offence to the creator, i just thought that something like this might below might be a little better so that the n00b you're giving the card to HAS SOMETHING SOLID to hold onto so they don't forget the site and also when they get here, they HAVE A USERNAME REFERENCE so they (kinda) already know somebody on here, who is most probably from their area, so they don't feel so weird coming into an unknown community... Do you all get what i mean? It makes sense to me... Anyway, have a look at this and tell me what you think. It's just a basic Publisher Bus. Card template and i have the file saved if people want me to email it to them... Or is there a way i can dump a Publisher file on here for people to collect if they mant it? Whatever. ![]() |

Fair enough. Personally, i like minimalist. Striking and effective. ![]() Btw, shermn was a little confused... I'm not proposing that we get a full professional run of these done for EVERY SINGLE AUSMINI USER, it was just so those that want to can print them off on their home computer and keep them in their wallets to give out when they need... |

yep, I'm for that... I'd often like to have something I can stick under a windscreen wiper or something yesterday I saw a standard looking green roundie going into a servo, so I went in from the other direction and pulled up driver to driver - turned out to be an early Cooper (non s) that he'd just roadworthied for his 18 yo son - directed him to here |

I'm actually not much of a fan of the current Ausmini logo... i really don't like the text and think it could be improved. It would also mean that Scott and Adrianne could sell a pile more stickers since everyone would need to update to the new style. ![]() ![]() Anyhow... this is the kind of thing i had in mind as a replacement... the font is nicer and having all the text within the car's outline gives it a cleaner look and would be easier to produce stickers and prints of. ![]() EDIT: Stand by for pic... it's not working for some reason. ![]() EDIT2: Pic fixed. ![]() TIP OF THE DAY: When uploading pics to imageshack make sure the colour mode is RGB... It apparently doesn't like the CMYK format. ![]() |

i'd like to see an actual mini, rather than an outline, someone have pics of a white stocko 850 in good condition or something? |

That's hardly practical for printing. It's very expensive to print multi coloured stickers/cards. Visually just having the outline means the focus is on the right thing, the name of the club and the web address. Everyone knows what a mini looks like, it's not really necessary to have a photo of one. IMO it's nicer not to have one especially since there's about a bagillion different models and we'd have to pic one as our posterchild. |

I could organise 1,000 business cards full colour front and printed in black on the reverse side for $90, just for Ausmini ![]() |

My input... Vector Pic of REAR of mini, only part that wont offend people. (eg, the clubbie vs roundie debate) Big AUSMINI.COM text quick site slogan Keep it simple and plain. btw...current logo is quie cool, no reason to get rid of it. |
