Mini Car Club of NSW's annual show & shine this Sunday in conjunction with the Lurgano spring fair Gannons Park Peakhurst. Around 80-100 mniis there plus lots of other cars in the Classic car show, a really good day in the park, lots to look at. Gannon's Park cnr of Forest & Roberts Rd's Peakhurst, vechicle entry via Boatwright Ave, gold coin donation to get in, i think its $10 per vechicle to enter the show & shine lots of classes including the hard fought "Rust & Dust" award, im myself am taking the "Grunter" Clubman down to defend its title-o-crapiness.

I went last year, dragged the wife and kiddie along and had a top day out, despite the rain (yep, it does rain sometimes in Sydney).

I've dusted off my passport for the trip down to 'that side of Sydney'.

Anyone who can make it, should make it!

You can just rock up on the day, just make sure your there well before 10.30 so that you can get all the paperwork sorted out.

Cheers

For Those that didn't get up and come along to have a look at the Show and Shine Today, sunday they missed out on seeing some great cars. With over 40 minis and there Cousins on display, there was plenty to see and do. I came away with a 2nd for the Van. Doogie won back his Rust and dust Trophy and we saw a few new cars come out of the woodwork along with some of the great Examples of the mini, from std resto's to fully modified numbers. The guy that beat me in the van class, had a Show stopping car, with a bloody great big Supercharger hanging off it. So for those that didn't make it. You missed out.

Cheers
Aaron

Well done big daddy Aaron. Also well done to Michael (mrcooms) who got a second in his class, first time showing his Mini.

Thats what its all about.....putting your hand up, getting involved and getting reward for your effort.

Aaron, saw you there but didnt get a chance to say g'day. I was suffering from 'cranky wife and kid syndrome'

Next year the Clubman class is all mine......muah ha ha ha ha

Thanks Anton

It was a good day out enjoyed myself, nice talking to some fellow SPI drivers.
The sore arm from polishing the car was worth it

Were there any Melbourne cars there? I was told that a couple of Rover late models were going up. They apparently went last year as well. One is British Racing Green the other dark metallic blue.

I was at autosalon but wish I had gone up there instead. Feel more at home with Minis instead of Hi-tech imports.
