Hi all,

Anyone running on 13X7 supalites? If so, how does it handle? How can the handling be improved?

Thanks guys

i run 13x6's and the handling is awesome.
you will here alot that 10" rims give best handling. i had 10's on my clubby and swapped to 12's and handling improved.
on GTI mini i have the 13's and it runs rings around my clubby, although you have to match decent suspension to decent tread and rims

10's and 12's have a nicer feel than 13's but the 13's usually have more grip

Thanks guys,
Doesn't the offset affect the handling as it has something to do with the wheels centreline?

Cheers

My husband and I both run on 13 x 7's on our 1993/1994 Rovers. We like the look so not really worried about the handling.

John drives his everyday covering about 700 kms+ per week so he's obviously happy with the handling.

Good luck with your choice.

TheMiniMan once said to me (I hope he doesn't mind the repost):

Quote:
k,,,13X7s look PHAT AS & i just love the look :) Tough!!! yeah...BUT!!!!!!!!!

there`s chunks of work to do it really well & still have it low & handle etc

otherwise you can just bung em on, fit the gorup 5 arches & be done with it sitting a little high & handling a bit like... well,,, a van with big wide wheels :) probly need to trim the front gaurds a bit & fit hi-los to make it all happen anyways etc, but easy enough to do all that really

if you look on my web site in the projects page & click onto the "New Blew" you`ll notice that i had those wheels & flares fitted back then too, but i did a humungous amount of work to suspension, subframes, control arm pick up/pivot points etc etc etc cut the gaurds 1" & 3/4 etc etc etc

&!!!!!!!!!!!!, those superlite 13s should really be called "super heavys", very very heavy & you will feel all that.

then, after quite a few times on the wheel alignment machine getting it all sorted so it handled. It was awsome after all that tho, the best handling 13" wheeled mini i`ve ever driven. but like i said, chunks of work & i really wouldn`t recomend it to anyone if you were to pay to have all that done. I really don`t think i`ll ever bother to do it again, but thenagain... i do have this idea of a PHAT mini ute on 13x8s :)
