I think i need to fix this... am i looking at making replacements? When fixing the floor pans do they come up the side aswell or is more metal needed to patch up the sides? any input is helpfull cheers andrew ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It looks like you will be busy for a while. I replaced a many panels on TurboOrangie last July-August. The floor panels I had sides on them that went part way up the exhaust tunnel on the floor on the medial side and upto the bottom of the door opening on the lateral side. |

Anton's "Jam" (Just another mini) has a good section on replacing the rear beaver panel - check that. The Haynes Mini Restoration book has a few sections on replacing rusty horror stories - including a full floor pan - foot wells and inner and outer bottom sills. There was a very recent thread here (with pics) about replacing a boot floor. The main message is - cut and replace ONLY ONE panel at a time. Otherwise the mini shell will sag and lose structural integrity. |
