who has one?

ive heard of it in the common people language, amongst cooper and cooper s

but have never seen one until

today i saw a dark green one at Syd Uni, and left a note on the windscreen to come to the forum... still waiting

that's what they were initially called in England, to give them a family link to the morris minor. The name wasn't used here because they thought it was belittling, so they used Morris 850 instead. Some were badged as Mini Minor, I've got a mate in Adeliade who has one.

Someone told me once why there were a few, but I don't remember the reason, it might have been a special order, government, dunno...

There was a special order of travellers (woodies) that were badged as Austin Minis, they had Cooper disks and some other bits, which were used by the English embassy, then sold off. There is one that lives near me in Wodonga.... so the Mini Minor badged cars might have been the same deal

The last of the 850s with windup windows (made after Mini Deluxe was released) were badged as Mini Minors. Gov't bought a lot. Ended in `67 I think. Memory is a bit hazy... :lol:

My mothers first Mini in '61 was badged like that, or it might have been Morris Mini Minor....She can't remember and hey, I wasn't around for another 12 years after that :lol:

this one still had the original paint job i think, wind up windows, i dont think there were overriders
had a roof aerial hole with a wooden plug
centre console, 3 gauges including the centre speedo
straight slat grill
one brown clubman seat
and one windscreen wiper
