Post subject: | Getting the choke working |
Now that the cool mornings are here, and the choke is required to start, I've decided to fix mine up properly. Have always used the el cheapo supercheap one, they are CRAP. Very stiff to use, always jam on etc etc. Can anyone suggest a method to get nice smooth operating choke? |

I seem to remember that teh MKII choke cables mounted through starter/ light/wiper switch panel iside the car has a soft inner cable like a accelerator cable. It operates pretty smoothly from what I remember, unlike the stiff wire versions. |

That's what I wanted to hear Mick, the stiff wire ones are rubbish, get one tiny kink in them, and they stick... |

They're not very long though, so you have to be economical when running them. |
