Should be simple as. Can you turn it upside down and work on it that way :?:

unbolt the shockers from inside the trailer, jack the trailer up, remove the wheels, push the trailing arm down, seperate the cones from the trumpets and remove

reinstall with hi-los where the trumpet goes

yea, but you will want shorter shocks if u want to go more than about 1/2 - 1" lower? i think? or the knuckle joints will try to pop out, or make funny noises. i dunno about everyone else, but in my car, i fitted spax adjustables (lowered) and set the hi-lo's so the shocks are mid-stroke at rest. no probs that dropped it to the sam height as my saggy front end.

If you buy a set of hi-los, you'll end up with spare bits for the front end. Why not machine a little from the trumpets or fit saloon trumpets? Cheaper and no wastage - it's only a trailer. You just need to know the ratio of amount removed vs subsequent drop in ride height.

Can I adjust the van rideheight just by changing the shocks?

No. Ride height is a function of how compressable the rubber cones are, the length of the aluminium trumpets and the trailing arm. Do a search on lowering a mini. You can remove the end of the trumpet and file or machine a little from the end, refit the end and reinstall. But the amount removed is a lot more than the drop attained.
