Post subject: | Front Wheel Bearing Help |
Hi All I have done extensive searching of the archives on this but remain slightly uncertain. Am I right in thinking that if I have a 76 Clubby (which I do) I can replace the old bearings with Timken tapered roller bearings with no modifcations required. I just need to get a kit, making sure it has a spacer in it and away I go. P/no per previous Doc post for the kit with spacer is LM67049A-9F2B8 I think only one side needs doing, getting a rumbling when running above about 40kph which seems to be a knock for every rotation of the wheel, (although I will probably do both, but maybe the second a wekk or two later). Presumably one side only can be done without drama. Thanks ![]() Rick |

Yes, you are right. They fit right in and you would be better off doing both side at the same time. Pete |
