Hey I can pick up a right hand fuel tank for $200 is this to much or not.

What should come with the tank so all i have to do is cut a hole and install it.

Personally I like the sound of a larger left hand tank, no drilling involved... does anyone know if these are worth it?

The right hand tank need the bracket for the boot floor (it is different to the other side) and the strap and also the pipe around the boot floor.

The big left hand tank is good but a big left tank and a right hand tank are even better!
Or.... A VW beetle tank will fit in the boot between the twin tanks!

I got one for mine $220 :D but it came with the strap to hold it in and the fuel line linkage pipe. You can use a left hand strap on it to hold it in, and if you cant find an original fuel line link just use some fuel hose with a T intersection to join them.

Cutting the hole, just make an exact duplicate of the left one but on the right. make a template or something or just measure it up and mark it out.

I swear by the LH tank(7.5 gallon)and I found on a trip away a 10 gallon tank - didnt believe they existed until I saw it myself. however you will sacrifice the spare wheel to install it.

Doesnt the spare just slip under it? Like theres a rebate in it for the wheel. Thats what ive seen on the UK minis.

OT: You can go to Kmart and get a 25L jerry can for fuel for $20. It's good quality, comes with a flexible hose thingy etc.

The 10L version for $15 looks best as it's smaller and may fit in the boot nice and snug.

I mean it aint an ideal solution but I have no fuel issues currently as mine aint a daily driver, so it would be a safety measure for long trips only. Sure beats $200!

yeah but i like the look of twin tanks. It look more mean.

Mine Gets driven 200+ Km every week so I havre to fuel up al least 2x a week.

Now I will only have to do it once.
