how does one remove these? Is it just a matter of riping the ba$tards off..? I have rust developing under neath the passenger seam on Toby and need to get the cover off to fix it before it gets worse.

once its off, new ones can be bought cant they..???

They have a spot of braze/weld at the top and bottom.....carefully grind through these (without going too deep and into the panel)....dremel is good if you have one

Then they just should pull away....be careful because there are clips underneath .....so work from one end...feeling for the clips.

Replacements can be glued on with sikaflex....search on that

havn't seen them in chrome, but i'm sure you could get them chromed.

I'm in the process of getting new covers put on mine, one of the ones i got (the Rear right) is slightly different, but the bloke at mini spares centre said that there the only ones available, is this true?
