hey all, my car is pinging or pinking whatever its called, under load, now im using high octane fuel with an additive aswell, so is the pinging indicative of the engine being lean or rich or is it a timing issue? Is there a way to check if it is rich or lean with basic tools or do i need to buy something?
thats for your time
rock and/or roll

do you have a mini manual? set the timing, you will need a small mirror and a lightbulb or multimeter.
then check mixture, probably easiest to 'read the plugs' any good mini manual should tell you how to do both.
:D
