ok yesterday my clutch pedal started to feel weird (tech term) it got hard and then normal and was really slow to return at times
then it went back to normal but every now and then it gets hard at the bottom of pedal travel and then returns slow

what now

clutch hose?

Not sure about the slow return but at times the hard at the bottom bit can be the two big nuts on the end of the clutch shaft (not sure of full name , it's the one in the centre of the clutch housing and has the throw out bearing on the end of it) if they aren't locked together they can move and wind themselves in to stop the clutch being fully released . It's a simple one to check at least , just see if there are two nuts on it and if you can wind them by hand . If they are loose then adjust and lock together .

hmm, clutch hose could be worth changing, best $30 i ever spent!
