Gents,

I've just sourced my radiator for my water to air intercooler set up. I now need to source a couple of small slim line fans. I was thinking along the lines of CPU or some sort of computer cooling fan. The radiator is about 120 tall and will need rouughly two fans. Anybody got any suggestions for a 12v fan that doesn't mind running all the time?

There a million and one on fleabay that look like they will do the trick but I thought someone might be able to help.

I'm running two of these type fans (Thermaltake 12cm silent fan):

One runs at full speed constantly.. and the computer stays on 24/7.. No troubles for over a year now.

You should be able to buy them seperately.

EDIT: make sure you get the ball bearing type fans.. they last longer. http://fluidtek.com.au/prod85.htm They might be alright.

I've had four of these working for 6 years on a 1275. No problems, no overheating (The rest of the cooling system is up to scratch of course).
I did originally have a N/C relay running the fans from a thermostat, but ditched it in the end as they were drawing less than 750 milli amps all up.
No problems with water or debris either.

Just make sure you dont get cheap fans.

Cause the environment inside an engine bay is slightly different to that of inside a pc....

Id invest in a couple of 120mm fans, lots of airflow.

Give jaycar (http://www.jaycar.com.au)a ring and they may be able to best advise you on what fans are best for the project.
