are theyre any differnce in the shells between the 1988 shells and the 1993-4 ?

the big one is that you can't use the 93-94 shells on the road legally...

i know that.. well you can they need supports ect as far as i know... but i was jus curious if there were any other differences... :)

Not much other than paint prep from the factory (80's were supposed to be the worst cars for rust apparently :? ).

Why do you ask? If therea any differences it won't affect you I'm sure.

um... no...


you can't drive a mini with a 93-94 shell unless it was imported as part of a a private vehicle under the SEVS/RAWS schemes...

haha.. i actually clicked on that link, took me a second to work out why it didnt work :lol:

I thought you already had 1 or 2 minis mr _666_?.... dont tell me you're thinking of buying a rover and putting your compliance plate on it are you, then trying to convince the rego dept. that you've roverised your morris?

if you did it, im sure the insurance comapny would love you when you had a crash.. seriously, they would, they wouldnt have to pay out a thing, you'd be left buying the other guys car for him, and that $15,000 street light and transformer :P

There are mid-90s cars out there that were legally imported priot to the rule change. But they are not cheap.

ok so obviously theres no physical differences between them...

and yes i am aware of the roverised situation but im not doing that...
