G'day everyone, just a quick question.

I replaced the small globe (not the indicator) in the front left indicator assembly on my 73 clubby and now it has started to act very weird...

For instance, without the headlights on the little globe next to the indicator blinks and not the indicator. With the headlights on though i get no blinking at all. The weird thing is the right hand front and both rear indicators work fine with no problem at all.

Im trying to diagnose the problem before tomorrow when I head out to work on it.

Could the wires behind the panel be shorting or something? Or could the contact points be rusty...

Its just very strange... and any help would be appreciated..

Sounds like an earth problem, make sure that the earth connection in the light fitting is OK
