Post subject: | EBC `Greenstuff' vs `Blackstuff' disc pads |
Hey I've been running Greenstuffs for 2 years or more on my S brakes (no servo) now. I find they are great for hard driving- but when cold, around town, er, they're not-so-good.. take a fair push on the pedal to work poorly. So, on Friday I pulled them off and stuck some EBC Street Kevlars (Blackstuff) in there. They are great. Real good bite. Just like adding a servo, but the pedal is still nice and hard! Haven't tried them when real hot, (YET!) but for daily driving they are unreal. ![]() And they are lots cheaper than Greenstuffs! <edit> Here's a link- http://www.autospeed.com/cgi-bin/browse ... 1003600000 I'll keep you all posted. |

Whats Your Fav for the rears I'll be looking around very soon it's put back to gether time for Marcia's Rear ![]() Do you have S discs on that? I thought it was a Mini K... ![]() rear shoes- not much choice anymore. New (std size) UK ones from Karcraft etc, or rebonded ones from your local brake place. ![]() ![]() <edit> ditto the front shoes, if you don't have discs in there. |

Davo, I got them from here- http://www.autospeed.com/cgi-bin/browse ... 1003600000 crap...! $98.49/set (+ del), they are getting dear- I paid like $53/set (a year ago...) ![]() Most brake shops can get them in, probably even Repco!!! ![]() Update: They are bedded in good now. Great in traffic or normal driving. I got them a bit hot yesterday (deliberately) coming down Kurrajong hill- they do fade when real hot. Not a track pad. Mick, I'll put the Greenstuffs back on thanks, for Wakefield Pk, where they get hot and stay that way! But in the meantime for just fangin' about, the Blackstuffs are great. ![]() |

My Honda Citys on the Clubbie take a DB305 pad. No Greenstuffs available for them. Not sure about yours. Do a search of the autospeed site on link above. You can get Ferodo Premiums or Metal Kings for Hondas, though! |
