I thought it would be nice to drive the Mini in for work for once today. Well actually, yesterday, but the battery was flat. So I charged it up overnight and it was great in the morning, started first pop. Now I'm grumpy coz it's the end of the day and the battery is flat again  Looks like it's finally time for a new one! As I was walking up to the car I said to it that if it was good and started then I would buy it a present.... it obviously didn't hear me!

push start for the mini. at least you didn't buy a falcon or you'd have to push a heavier car :D :D :D :D :D

You might want to take it to someone like the Battery Factory in fyshwick as they will test your alternator output as well (might cost you a rebuild I know) But I might just save your next battery as well with that suggestion

and That makes me laugh so hard Because the mini didn't want to play for a present it's just making you pay for a new present    they can be real women like that sometimes.... That's why we luv em

Super crap has a sale on batteries right now, but the ones on sale might be a little small with only 7 plates, but they are less than 50 bucks.

Push starting wouldn't have helped... even with jumper leads it wouldn't start, flooded with petrol and water (cracked cylinder head), we ended up towing it round the carpark until eventually it ran of its own accord. If the weather brightens up it gets another head this weekend. I'm finding the problem with it no longer being a daily driver, it seems to 'save up' problems so that every time I drive it, it don't work

Oh and I think the Battery Factory would be a bit surprised when they opened the bonnet to do test the 'alternator' - my Mini didn't come with such modern conveniences! :)
