all the other adjuster thingys work. but when i try to put my fan onto heater it just dosen't budge past warm.
wondering what the problem might be?
do i simply unscrew something and give it a jiggle or something?

and the pipe which connects the intake to the fan...can i buy one of them anywhere? what does it look like? what do i need to do?

it is getting a little cold on the feet when driving along the highway.

thanks for anyhelp. if you need more info i'll get it tomorrow.

thanks 8)

Okay I have been through this as well.
I sourced a cooper type tap to whereis fits onto the cylinder head and fitted that, running the heater pipe to the heater to that tap.

Then I pulled out the heater and took off the heater valve on the heater assembly. It was frozen solid with gunk so I tossed it, reinstalled the heater and connected the heater pipe direct to the heater.

Voila - warm air. I did find it necessary to half coverwith the intake scoop hose in the engine bay with duct tape but then I am in a heavy overnight frost area and no amount of hot engine is going to combat a -5 frost. My heater works fine but its never going to make me wind down all the windows in winter. Minis just dont get that hot in the cabin.

Come summer, i just turn the water off at the tap on the head.

Clubby alloy heater taps are a POS.
Unless you really NEED fresh air thru the heater you can just bin the Clubby heater tap, and run the water thru heater all the time. This helps engine cooling in Summer as well, by putting more water in circulation.
Fresh air? That's what the quarter vents are for...

thanks for all the help people. i dunno if i will be bothered, mabey i'll just cover the intake over and stop the cold air from coming in and see if that helps a little.

it is a little chilli in the moring and at night time but during the day you can away with shorts and a t-shirt, but as soon as it hits 4:00 the temp just drops.

spekaing of which I just fixed that problem. My solution was get a knew hose and lossen the mechcanism a bit and pulled he knob across to hot although it doesn't go right across there is still a difference between warm and hot although as yet I hav't needed hot just warm is now working fine. If replaceing the hoses doesn't wok for I suggest like the others it coiuld be your valve or tap. let me know how you go mate.
