That rear wheel drive mini, Must be the one everyone use to have!!!!
(I use to own a mini, But mine was RWD) YEAH RIGHT.

That car would so so RAD,
1275 (S motor)
Twin 1 1/2's
Oil cooler.
Disk breaks on the rear.

Remember the mini wasn't designed as a performance car , it was designed to be as small as possible on the outside while being as big as possible on the inside , it's just it was so well designed it handled brilliantly that it was then given the bigger motror's and brakes . The rear engined one in the drawing would have been the twinni I think ,a motor at each end .

It would have been so easy to make it rear engine, RWD like a Renault or baby Fiat, but Issigonis was a clever thinker, he saw the future potential of FWD.... 8)
40 years on, name a current production RWD (rear engined) family car (and no, I don't count Porches... :lol: )

If RWD was so good in small cars, why have all of their makers gone for FWD now.. apart from those that died (like Hillman Imp). :?

that rear engine is the twinni hilclimber that nearly killed john cooper, they were so quick its not funny
