The mirrors on my 1275 LS are loose and I want to know how to tighten them up! I was having a look at a door that still had the mirror on but had no glass, so I could see in and see how they were mounted. They are held in with self tappers coming in from the mirror.

Is there some kind of cover on the mirror mount or what, SOMEONE TELL ME!!!

yeah I've pulled mine apart when some idiot in canberra knocked it off basically you a mount bracket and the mirror which is as you say self tapped. If the bracket is slightly bent you'll never have it comepletly flush but u can get slightly bigger self tapers and make a new bracket up to attach to the side mount. hope this helps

I've worked it out! Theres a little grub screw at the front behind just where the arm mounts. Undo that grub screw and BAM! It falls off!

It was him. I should probably put the disclaimer back in my signature. Basically, if the post is spam, about the merchendise, event photos or 'S' ratings of oil, its me. If its actual car stuff, its most likely going to be poeee.

Though nnormally when he posts as me he edits it to say 'poeee here'
