Guys, I'm trying to organise a group from Gong Mini to go up and camp on the hill over the far side of the track.

I have 10 free tickets to get in. If anyone is interested please let me know and we can meet somewhere before heading in together.

I'm doing some photos for a couple of publications so will spen most of the day running around but would be good to see all the minis parked on the hil.

Talk about COLD !!!!!!

Didn't get as many pix as I would have liked. I'm just getting over a
dose of the flu and the cold air was really knocking me about. When I
did venture out of the car it took me a while to realise my camera was
playing up (also does not like the cold) and I had to leave early so
only got to watch all of the races.

All excuses aside I have uploaded my mini pix to the following address.

http://www.shoalhaven.net.au/~motorsport/historics/

5 Minis in attendance when I arrived but one went home sick. This left
John Battersby Group Nb
David Wheatly Group Nb
Troy Williams Group Nc
Ben Tebutt Group NC

Neat DOZ....twas good to read that first thing after getting home from the meeting.

David Wheatley's Mini was a jet....he also gets my bravery award for sticking it under the Mustang on the first lap at the first corner (big Stang, Cold Brakes, cold tyres etc)

John Battersby seemed to have a trouble free run (for a change) and some fun.

Troy's Mini looked beautiful as always and he had some good dices with another Mini and a very nice MK1 Escort.

Cold?? you Sydneyites get it too warm, too often :P

Not the best HSRCA meeting I've been too but some great racing....the win by the Humble rotary in the wet was just outstanding as was the dice between the Rotary, Mustang and Torana.

the "other mini" was Ben Tebbutt - Number 33. He is from the Central Coast of NSW.

Was a fun weekend of racing... once I cleared up the problem with my Electrics and Rev limiter. (Thanks BruceGT!). We did some moonlight changes on the Sat night to ensure I got to the grid on Sunday morning.

9Y, you were flagging at the top of the bridge yes??? If that was you, Im sure you had a perfect view of me nearly grassing it about 4 times - hate that corner!

Jason Humble in the RX2 put on a great show - and he is quite upset about getting punted by the Camaro on Sunday morning - bending panels and popping a rear windscreen in the process. If anyone knows where to get a rear screen for a Rx2 coupe, drop me a line.

Did anyone see David Wheatleigh's "American Racer" tyres ? Apparently they are fantastic!!.... not road legal as I understand, but I might look at getting some in for the track.

Yeah Troy, knew that, but Ben dosn't post here and I just wanted to shine the limelight on you :P

Yep...after moving from Turn 2, so after all the waves we are now introduced, it looks like a tricky corner especially with the bumpy crap surface at the exit to the bridge....the trick seems to be to just keep the boot into it with some right lock
