i have a dilemma monday is beach day i want to drive the moke but dad reckons its not a very good idea, ie. tuning, one cylinder is coughin up oil, he's just not too sure if it'll last the two hourish drive. the matic has a slight brake fluid leak in the front right wheel, people have told me not to drive it at all... although i have taken him out a dozen times last three months. which option? ive also got a train ticket |

Flashback ![]() When I got my first Mini, Orange Clubby (i'll have to find those photo's) I have a Waveski and would transport it ontop of the Mini. Dad said you cant do that it's to big. Well it did over hang at both ends. But I never lost it. It did look funny ![]() |

love to see photos of that mate... I reckon you can do just about anything in a Mini. I am getting new fences put up at my place, and the fencer (an old, semi retired guy) was saying yesterday that years ago his ute broke down, so he hired a clubby and transported all his tools around in that for weeks. He loved it, said all his gear fitted in the back and didnt want to hand it back. I think he is eyeing off JAM.... ![]() |

He he I value my Mini too much to carry all that sort of stuff in! ![]() My parents Mazda 121 on the other hand has been used to transport many a Mini part - I think my record was a Clubman bonnet and boot, front and rear seats, windows, exhaust sytem, fuel tank etc, all at the same time. I never realised so much could fit in a two door car! Anto. |

thanks guys i only realised when i was testing the 'stopping' ability of the handbrakes that if my Matic slave cylinder goes, it'll gush out brake fluid rendering the whole brake system useless and my handbrakes are shite i will work on my moke on the weekend maybe i can describe its problem: 1. with the float chamber with clean petrol 2. when foot releases off accelerator 3. the engine turns off and it all becomes very quite 4. as car is moving, clutch let out, and car starts again played with idle speed and fuel mixture only today no good results, idle speed too high exhaust popping sound any ideas? |
