im going to get my interior done in the near future, and i dont know if i should try and stick to the original theme, or go more modern ie bucket seats etc, and whether to get vinel door cards and seats coz cant afford leather or should i get cloth, and colour scheme stick with the grey with black highlights, or go beige, im thinking beige with black stictching and piping |

mate in your car, i think (although i am not always a great big fan of black) that a nice tidy Black interior would go really well with your car, u could get away with even going for a sportspak colour theme, (they had black and like a grey/silver looking leather insert) and they look really tidy and would suit your car really well (try and have a look at the pics. Other than that have a look at the interior out of a Paul Smith LE Rover that came out, or the interior of one of the last 500 Rovers made... to me they look great and will really tie in with your cars overall theme.... ..... after all, keeping with a cars theme is the ONLY way to make it look good. IMO, Beige, although stunning in some cars, i thik would not really suit your car... but then again it just my opinion, For the record i was thinking of doing the same colour scheme for my interior, but have changed my mind.... http://www.classiccarspecialist.co.uk/p ... UKY_26.jpg Something like that, they are rover seats (Available from Brickworx) and that is what i mean with the black and Silver highlights... those seats look tops i recokn |

i have the classic seats in mine (minus head rest) love the look i haven't had a chance yet to find out what they are like comfort wise but i figure still got to be more comfortable that my last mini's seat which was knackered..... the interior is hard i just you just need to find something that you like and go with it..... if you keep it simple i don't think you could go wrong |

I would go (and am going) vinyl on the doors and cloth trim. Not just cheapo looking stuff.... but some seats that are cool/comfy and sporty and the vinyl on the doors to look cool. Peter. |

mate if i wher you i would go a classic styled interior, go grey vinyl with off white vinyl inserts. then go black carpets. and dont go for cobra classic seats..not worth the price in my opinion. if i wher in queens i'd offer to do your interior. |

I have two project's underway, ones a classic that I have the Cobra's with no headrests, and the other is a modifyie, I have bucket's for that. now I expect more issues with the buckets, as depending on if you get cought bucket seat's are illegat unless signed off by an engineer and you will find that given the bad day of an accident if your insurance company finds a set of un-engineered seat's they wont pay a pretty penny. sorry, I didn't mean to pi%@ on your parade. but keep it in mind if you go down that path. Most engineers will be pretty easy-going on seats, so it shouldn't cost the earth. On the other hand I plan to totally re modernise the ones with the buckets but the other one get's a good resto, don't try and do both- it alway's looks like you couldn't make up your mind. pick the one that suit's you, modifying will always take a bit more time/money and initiative. best advice pick one and stick with it |
