This is even better the the other vizard book i bought, Modifying ur Mini. This has got soooo much information in it!!!

I was reading a section on twin 1 1/4 inlet manifolds and he goes into how poorly flowing a standard twin su manifold is. He also gives some tips on modifying the manifold to make it flow a little better, but........ Im thinking along the lines of an aftermarket twin 1 1/4in manifold. Does any 1 know of any decent manifolds around?

I got a Maniflow inlet manifold out of UK last year.
Had it match ported to head-It's the best for twin SU's.
Not cheap. All-up $300.00.

Have a look at www.calverst.co.uk for manifolds and filtration for su's. The Maniflow ones the same as LS1380 has are meant to be the best.

If you are running twin 1-1/4s, even the old Lynx one is better than the stock Cooper/Cooper S one.
I don't think they are sold new any more but plenty S/H are still about.
It has a square balance pipe, and the radii inside are better.

Was that to suit 1 1/2's or 1 1/4in S.U.'s???

You only seem to be able to get the maniflow 1.25" manifold from www.calverst.co.uk . Everywhere else including Maniflow only list the 1.5"

Email Maniflow,

I got them to make me a twin 1.25" Manifold, it is bloody brilliant. Of course I had to get it chromed  Just tell them what you want, didn't need to get mine port matched to the head, it was a perfect alignment! (12g940, ported and polished etc) Landed at my door it was around $260, then $50 for chrom plating in Aus.

They may only list the 1.5 or 1.75 twin manifold, but they do make them to your spec. Easy.

Got them to fix a bracket to the manifold for the throttle cable too. I can email you pics if you want.

Also, give Graham Russell a call, he told me he improved it by making the 'ports' longer.

Pics sent! 8)

The alloy type you show are better than the factory manifold, but still a very poor cousin to the steel maniflow one!

Cheers
