hey all

just woundering if anyone knows what kind of webber this is
it has SOLEX japan on it - can't see any numbers....
is it some cheap import thing or is it alrite?

It's a Solex PHH, similar to a Dellorto in that it is a Weber copy.
They were a good carb, not sure how available jets and parts are here now. :wink:

Solex's were quite common on older Jap cars... parts, i've been told, aren't as easy to come by as for Webers and Dellortos. If anyone is interested my mate has a pair of Solex40's that he would be willing to sell. He's not asking for much. They came standard on Toyota Celica's 2TG engine.

i have got given 2 webbers,,,, how do i identify what they are (was also given
a free HS6 also!!! :D :D :D :D )

On the webbers theere is not a whole lot of numbers that i can see....

Chris, there will be a number on the flange if it's a downdraft type, or on the float bowl lid if it's a sidedraft. :wink:
