I'll have to have a scrounge through my old photo's again but I think I last saw that about 16 years ago at a roadhouse on the outskirts of Port Augusta , at that stage it wasn't registerred but was something of a large sign board for the roadhouse and had a trailer to match so it was LONG . Very neatly done though . |

Nsw has always been a bit thingy with interstate engineers, inspectors and even normal interstate registered cars. These law change don't entirely mean that the vehcile is unregisterable. It means that the engineers reports (certificates) are not automatically accepted. The bottom line is that the vehicle may need a report from a recognised NSW engineer and it may need some re-engineering. However, there is not a lot of difference between the required engineering standards in each of the states. The whole traffic system should come under a federal control with one lot of rules, regulations, fee, fines, inspections etc. Its all a bit out of control nationally. |

I am having my rego engineer around on Monday to check the Midas for rego and then it will be on to the blue slip, its a funny thing the car rego and rules were supposed to come under agreement between states as of Jan this year but as usual the states have yet to agree  I know that Vic and SA and will accept a vehicle from interstate as long as it has been rego'd for 2 years but QLD will expect you to have the car engineered again in some cases and NSW well who the hell knows

Jon Afraid not. We had all sorts of issues with our Mustang when we brought it back here from Victoria. Bastards

Bastards Well they do for ICVs clubman sportcars goimg into Vic maybe they just have more taste about yank tanks into SA they still have to pass a safety check in any state

NSW has an annual inspection for all cars over three years old - and depending on the inspector, it can be a tough inspector. Whats the go in each of the other states. ?????? I know my son inherited my mum's QLD plated car and almost as soon as it got here the local robo cop was hassling him because he claimed it had never been inspected for roadworthiness. It was blue slipped within the 3 month interstate grace time however........ |

I like it and it's very well done. I'd remove the front bull bar that's hiding it's classic shape and upgrade with the Gti conversion. It would be lacking some hp. |

The guy who owns it is a mate of mine in Geelong. He owns the "shorty" Mini as well. This truck was built in Victoria and went to NSW and South Aus before coming back to Vic again when Ken bought it. AFAIK it's been registered in both Vic and NSW, but check with Ken to be sure. |
