i was playing around with LORNA's (the mini) front today and noticed that the RHF bolt that goes thru the body to the subframe was, well GONE!! so that is now on the to do list!!! rather frightening knowing that your subframe is 1 bolt closer to falling out!!! Rohan |

You too - when I bought Henry, I took it back to work for the boss to give it a once over. He was all smiles until he looked at the front and saw BOTH of the bolts missing. Frightened me too but he assured me that whilst they are necessary, the engine steadys would stop the thing rocking about. However I went and bought some through bolts, nuts and washers and fixed it - more for peace of mind. Hooroo Rob Forsyth Miniot!! |

I've been told that some Clubmans came from the factory without the front subframe mount bolts. Not sure if that is true though, is there anyone else here missing both front subframe bolts? Maybe they're just the first ones to fall out! |

i though that they were mainly to hold the front panels to something sturdy, if you have a flip front, wouldnt it be the same as having the 2 bolts missing? i mean, you sub frame would not be just as secure |

Flip fronts have 2 braces going to the front of the subframe to stiffen it back up. TENT !!! ![]() I'll have you know we don't need such frivolities as enclosed cars over here ![]() |
