Cooper S got to 50MPH in 7.5, and to 60 in around 10.5 I think.

So, quicker than that.

Traction is a problem with mine..

Ah, missed a 0 :)
That'd be GSXR1000

I dont think a GSXR100 would be all that fast ;)
My GSXR1000 was absolutely that fast... under 5 sec and your doing 140km/h

On a Honda CBR 900 the mirrors fold at 220km/h :)
I wish I could get my mirrors to fold due to the wind on the Mini :)

Peter.

standard cooper S 1275 0-60mph - 11.2s
1965 Monte Carlo winner 0-60mph - 8.2s

While we're on the topic of speeds... what are standard quarter mile times for the different engine variants? I did a run at Calder and did a 17.9sec qtr mile. I don't know how quick that is in comparison to a standard mini.

well, according to Modern Motors tests.....

850 was 22.0 seconds
Cooper was 19.6 seconds
Cooper S was 18.3 seconds
deluxe was 21.4 seconds
the mini K average was 20.5 seconds
clubman 1100 average was 20.5 seconds
clubman GT average was 18.1 seconds

the clubmans must have been tested with a tailwind...

Clubmans are more aerodynamic apparently :P ..though i don't see how

You'll be lucky to get a 8sec 0-100time...my 1152 would run about an 18sec 1/4 and 0-100 in 11sec odd 0-100....ie not quick..but it FEELS quick..

Well the source I used says an 850 was 27.1 for 0-60 time, and 23.6 for the 1/4

Mine is around the 17-18 mark for 0-60.

Well you did say in your last post just any ol' worked mini 8)

Dorothy does it in about 22- 28 seconds 0-60 depending on wind direction and how flat the road is. :D
