Im my Cooper S replica I got a 1275LS tacho which is redlined at 5500. What is the real redline of a Cooper S MK1. Is the MK2 any different? People please list all the tacho redlines on various standard models including the 1100S if anyone knows, help me out. |

People please list all the tacho redlines on various standard models including the 1100S if anyone knows, help me out. Hmmm... Well I seem to remember a Cooper S (Mk1 or 2) is good for 7000, 1100S 5500, Cooper 997 & 998 were 6500 approx. Stocko 850-998-1098 engines had single valve springs that bounced at 5,500 or a little more. BTW- none of these cars ever had a tacho fitted standard. Only Clubman GT, Clubbie S, SS, LS got one. A not very accurate or well damped one, at that... ![]() |
