Graham Russell Has asked me to let you all know he has available another Camshaft that will fill the void between a STD and his Much talked about RE13. In his words, If you want an upgrade of CAM, but still want to use your car everyday this is the CAM you want.
This is the Piper HR255, this CAM uses the same grind as the SW5 but has been reground to GR's Special lobe center specs. She will pull from low down thru the mid range and will rev out around the 5.5 - 6k mark.

Now this is a CAM for the Daily driver, if you want a weekend warrior the RE13 is what you want.
For more info give Graham a call. His details are in the HOW TO section under Australian Businesses (Russell Engineering)

Just thought you should all know there is another choice in town.

Cheers
Aaron

Currently GR sells them outright for $280, he will be later on, setting up profiles to regrind your CAM but at the moment he only sells them outright. More info, give him a bell

How would it go in a standard 1100 with standard head, extractors+good exhaust, prolly a standard 1.5" manifold (for now) and a HS4? This is potentially what we are going to do with the engine I have. While it is out, Scott wants to maybe do something with the cam, and this new GR cam sounds good for what I want (so Scott says).

From what GR was telling me this is the CAM for what you want. A performance boost without turning it into a dog down low. Give him a call, he'll be happy to talk to you about it.

I wud asume it would be higher up than this one. Graham was talkin
to me about this one the other day and from the impression i got
it is SIMILAR to a cooper 997 cam.. similar i say as it is better i thnk..

but Duc i think Cooper S cams were a little higher up the range.. but then again
i dont pay much attention to those things... cooper s that is///

The 997 cam is actually the hottest of the a series factory cams. Apart from Special Tuning Profiles.

A cooper s mild race grind doesn't really tell us what this cam is, could be standard could be a 649 st cam profile?

Solution, get one of these HR255 cams and be done!

Just wanted to add that the Piper 255 cam that this is based on, was around back in the 70s, WELL before swiftune used this profile and called it the SW5.
