Chris
I have a reasonably good sound system in the mini. Stereo and twin speakers setup. Good sound etc. I dont use it on the longer trips becaue between the exhaust, the intake, the engine noise and the road noise you just cant hear it on the highway.

Town driving at lower speeds and lower engine revs etc is different though.

Just got one of those gizmos myself.
In a word, fantastic. An FM transmitter is available to plug in the top which you can then tune your radio to, or you can use one of those speaker wire to cassette tape adaptors and use the tape player in the car.

But you don't have FM or a tape player do you?

google image search for ipod speakers, it comes up with heaps of them. although some of them are quite dear, but i think soetimes places like the reject shop come up with cheapies, or even aldi, they have cheap electronics??? depends how much you want to spend. apple's official online store has a few, listed in australian dollars, but the cheapest one is about $200 i think????

yeah that's the one, only got it Friday to use on the looooooooooooong trips accross the Nullabor. I've got 3700 individual songs on it (Most are crap I wouldn't listen too though, but you think differently after 72 hours on the road....) and it feeds through the car stereo. At the moment I have simply got a cassete adaptor that plugs into the headphone jack, but will get the little plug in FM transmitter to go through the car speakers shortly. They cost about 20 bucks on EBAY I think.

You can also get a adaptor to plug it into the cigarette lighter. These things are all about accessories.....
