Got the van home last week and will take out the 1275 for my roundy/trailer project on monday. Also doing this as the van dosent have disk brakes. Have been building a good 1100 out of three motors, which I am happy with, and fixing all the the fidly things to get the van ready for road worthy.
It goes in on wednesday. Will post some pics tomorrow of where I am at.
Its nothing special, but will make a good daily. :D

Went for road worthy today. Was happy with the result.
Things I have to do are:
1. replace door retaining strap (its not there, lol)
2. Wiper blades.
3. clutch/ brake fluid change (they are doing it and bleeding it up through their machine, $45)
4. Maybe replace stabilizer rubber (upper). I disputed this as it had no play, but had a crack around the edge of the rubber. He has the car over night, and is going to think about it, even though its only a couple of buck rubber.

All in all I am quite happy, and will have it regoed next week when I get paid. They did not pick on the the three stone chips in the window. Only threw the motor togehter in the last couple of days, they said it sounded like it had been recoed. I laughed! :D

What a beauty - good onya

I like the modern vacuum bleeders. Just connect a vaccuum hose (from the air compressor) to the bleed nipple. Open the blled nipple and suck away until you get clean fresh brake fluid.

No pumping of pedals, no lying on your back opening and closing grotty bleed nipples. Whole car done (brakes I mean) in 10 minutes with no air residue.

An easy $45

But it is worth it.

I bought one of those 1 man brake bleeding kits from The Warehose discount store of all places. Was like $3!!!! And surprise surprise..... the thing actually works quite well!!!!.
