The Story of the Mini

FORCE ENTERTAINMENT are proud to annouce the release of a new documentary on the history of the MINI

FORCE have contacted each Mini club in Australia, offering the DVD to members at the very low wholesale price of $7.50

The details of the documentary are below. Please contact your club president or secretary if you are interested in the special offer.

The DVD will be available from OCTOBER 11

**PRESS RELEASE**

This is the story of the small car that became one of the giants in automobile history.

Using exclusively shot footage, this film charts the rise and rise of one of the best loved cars ever made.

Key models have been specially filmed to bring to life the history of this remarkable car from the earliest Mark 1s through to the last versions that saw a revival of interest in the car in the last years of the 20th century. The programme also illustrates just how adaptable the Mini is - from mild tuning to full blown customizing, including a 4 x 4 version with enormous balloon tyres.

This in-depth documentary includes an interview with Dr Alex Moulton, suspension designer and one of the last surviving members of the small team that created the Mini.

We also look at the Mini’s remarkable competition heritage both on the track and in rallying. Renowned Mini racer and tuner Richard Longman, whose racing exploits did much to revive interest in the Mini during the late 1970s, exclusively demonstrates his ’77 and ’78 championship winning car.

Finally, the film is brought right up to date with an insight into the new BMW Mini, which seems to have created a whole new generation of fans. Footage and interviews recorded during the 2003 London to Brighton Mini run only underline the enduring popularity of this great car.

I'd be in for a copy at $7.50 if the offer is extended to ausmini members like ausminis4u suggested. (I'm not in a club).

So how long does the DVD go for? It would be annoying if it is a 20 minute video, but if it is a few hours long then that is super :D

DVD goes for 70 mins. They gave a copy to our club so that we could show it at a meeting and take orders. Haven't seen it yet as we ran a bit overtime last Thursday, so it will be another month till we get a chance.
