| Post subject: | Reversing light switch |
I've been looking for a reversing light switch for my remote change gearbox and today I found a mini at the wreakers with one on it. I eventually managed to get it off and now I have a switch and a spring but did I miss something as I don't see how these two parts by themselves will work. |

Simple- when you select reverse, the lockout plunger comes up, and closes the switch.. 
The spring is just the lockout for reverse. I put a nice `red die spring' in there instead, so it's harder to get the reverse gate by mistake- when you really wanted 3rd gear..  ..

Thanks for that.I didn't want to have to go back as with the front end the way it was it wasn't easy to get to. I put the switch on and it didn't work.I've ended up having to add a small length of 5mm steel rod into the spring and now it works perfectly. |
