Well the halls will never be quiet again after the birth of our first son, Liam Monaghan
born on monday 4th july 13h25 and weighing in at 6lb 14oz (3.125kgs), 50cm long and 36.5cm head.
a few issues breathing at first and having to learn how to feed the last few days but now he is like his dad going to beer.
He will be coming home soon and meeting the dog and growing up around minis.
Mum is doing fine after a Csection due to medical reasons.

Im gonna party on friday as i dont have to be sober and i can sit down and relax and smoke my well deserved cigar, all are more than welcome to come and join me.

send em to me Jai.
Congrats To the mrs and well done to you for working it out
Only Advice I have for you is this.
Listen and smile when advice is given, but do it your way.
Don't introduce Junk Food until there stomachs can deal with it around 18months,and only as a treat.
Sleep will come, just give it time....
Get them used to noise while there sleeping.
Look after your wife.
Gloat like you did all the work and be proud of the little guy! :D

Of course with my advice just refer to point one

Cheers
Aaron

My son is 6months old now. Our first also... (Im still getting over the box of Cuban cigars we had... )

Its the most amazing, best thing that can happen to a family.
It WILL change your life, but what I find is that I wouldnt want it any other way, in fact I dont remember life without him. .. I remember certain things but all in all, my memory and life starts when he did... amazing.

Enjoy,
Peter.

PS: Oh, and make sure you spend as much time with him as possible... sounds stupid but they grow SOOO fast you will miss it, and you never get a second chance with each child!

Congratulation Jai and to all the other parents and prospective ones.

Yep - some one said it - little kids, little problems.

I have three sons 24, 22 and 14 - so far all of them have only ever presented me with little problems.

Congrats...

How did you find the courage to make the decision of YES, LETS START A FAMILY NOW?

I'm having trouble coming to grips with the thought.

EDIT: I DO want kids but its a huge commitment.
