Hi,

Just wondering if anybody has had a RW done lately in Melbourne, and can suggest someone "sympathetic" to Mini's. I had a guy tell me recently that one of the reasons my car failed was "The windscreen washers needed to be realigned"!.

Interested in feedback, particularly in the east of Melbourne..

get in touch with Bellarine Mini centre - a bit out of your way I suppose but Peter is great with our Minis.

Phone number is 5248 8741 and he is at 4/33 Cedar Parade, Moolap

That thing about the washers being out of allignment sounds more like the guy was searching for things to fail the car on

Hooroo

i agree with rodney there, the washers being out of alignment does not affect the cars driveability. if i am allowed pass with out working instrument lights...... and pete is good with the mini's, being a mini owner himself

Just fix the things they pick on...
There are rules for a reason, they are "meant" to be complied with

But yeah, see if he will be flexible... keep bugging him.
Mine on the old Leyland hit the wiper arm (they are meant to hit the windscreen 2/3 up, but CANNOT as the wiper arm is in the way when the wipers are in the off position.
Transport SA were flexible on this 'defect'.

Pete is fair, but won't let you go if it's not RW. You need a Mini bloke to do the checks though, cause they won't argue when you tell them the spare wheel never ever had an anchor when new!!!

Try Lindsay at Pistons Auto. He's been in Mini's as long as anyone in Melbourne.

He is honest, great value and a licensed tester.
