I can tell you a bit about the beefy off roader but not much.
'Roger' is a competitor in the annual Rover Mudbash weekend in Victoria.

As far as I can tell the old beaten up shell is the only bit of mini on the thing.

I saw it compete in mudbash last year with relative success but sadly this year it seemed to spend most of its time in the pits. I think it managed to run half an event all weekend.

There might be more photos on the Rover Mudbash website

Heres one of mine

Cheers

OK , question time then , is Roger the mud basher formerly known as Resurection ? I remember resurection as possibly having dual truck (as in semi sized) wheels on the back with chains on them but last I saw anything of it was about 1987-8 so not sure . Anyone remember it or have photo's of it ?

I have a feeling that Roger may be the new Resurrection but I'm not entirely sure. I may of heard it somewhere.

In any case heres the rovers mudbash website with some old photos and stuff.

http://www.vicrovers.com/mudbash/

Enjoy

P.S. I'm usually abused for decided to spend the Queens Birthday weekend at Mudbash rather than the Hay Mini Nationals. I reckon let the mud do the talking!

i can tell you that the shell is the only mini bit on that "space frame buggy" i can find out the specs on it on monday night, i do know that it got to mud bash this year and drove from the pit to scrut, go-t its tag the backed out and blew its gearbox, and sat there for the rest of the weekend.

just out of interest how many people from here know of mud bash or are involved with rovers??

I'm with harrision who have rotaniru (urinator backwards cuase cams deemed it offenise) we also prepared Qld car Mudaholic (red holden above) and have very close links with gods gift (which after loosing a wheel and rolling in the next race, is currently being rebuilt in a new car)

Mokemania, I'm a rover in the relatively new crew sugarloaf down in Vic

We don't have a buggy up and going yet but we've got two to choose from.

We have and old escort with a quad rear axle tha needs a whole heap of work as well as a beetle powered frame buggy that contains more water than oil at the moment.

I must admit that it was fairly impressive the way gods gift managed to lose a front wheel and not even notice for another 2 laps even with the marshalls waving frantically.

Either the cars fairly balanced or the steering doesn't do much.

I'm more inclined to go with the latter seeing as the thing rolled next time out.

That yellow clubman on the back of the truck is beautifully done. Looks like it was almost meant to be like that.

beetle powered frame buggy that contains more water than oil at the moment.:D :D thats how mudbash cars are meant to be

our buggy is a renault engine but everything else is vw, which is getting a bit tired since it was orginaly built by renault in the early 70's.

the steering in the gift is done by fiddle brakes, the passenger has two brake pedals to lock each of the back wheels up and spin the front, brad who was driving said that the only time something felt wrong was around the back, where it bounced sideways, he thought he'd hit one of the tyres
