OK ive got my clear tail lights here and ready to wire up. I've sussed out the wires on the Mk 4 lights, but am a bit puzzled on the Clubman ones that are there. Can anyone tell me which colour wires do which? Also if anyone is interested i'm making up plugs so i can interchange between the originals and clears easily if the need arises. Basically leave about 10cm of the clubman ones then terminate them with a plug, and do the same for the rovers, then the original loom gets another plug so they can be plugged together and interchangeable. But i need the wiring codes for this so i dont fiddle sticks anything up. (Read: Indicator comes on when i press the brake ![]() |

Just wire em up then test. If they are wrong, change em. It's possable that the colours mean nothing, ie have been re-wired. |

Here's a pic of the new super clear rear lenses. Just put them on in time for MINISHOW and don't have any better pics yet. http://users.bigpond.net.au/ausmini/pix/100_1371.jpg |

Jan you will find that they are defective, as they do not have any red reflector on the tail light assembly. ![]() |

Aslong as you have reflectors, it's ok. They don't have to be in the lenses. |

Realise this. Just haven't had time to put them on yet. They come seperately. You realise that the clear lenses you have are illegal as well. |

Nah theyre not ![]() I've taken it to a cop shop and he's said as long as it has a red reflector somewhere on the back and that each of the globes emit the right colour, its fine. He showed me some booklet on it coz i was getting worried after he was snooping around the rest of the car. Lucky he didnt see my musical air horns ![]() edit: The new VRX lancers have clear tail lights, standard. |

Well, one of the guys on the forum "P" plater was picked up and the cop said he could book him because the lenses don't have any Australian Design Standards stamped on them. Apparently all lenses must have this stamp to pass. I don't car as I drive round with them on anyway. |

Yep neither do I. I've also made up an interchangeable plug system for the tail lights so I can easily change back by just unplugging the clear ones and plugging in the original ones. |

Wouldn't it just be easier to buy some orange and red original Rover lenses for switching between. |
