Post subject: | Brake Bleeding |
Hello to all, this is my first post. I have a clubman and am trying to bleed the brakes. I know this can be a bit of a pain on a mini. All pads and slave cylinders are new as well as front hoses. I don't get any air in the fluid on the back wheels but when i bleed the front brakes i get constant air bubbles coming out. It seems to be sucking air in somewhere and there are no fluid leaks. I have even replaced the steel brake line from the master cylinder to the T joint and the other line down to the brake switch . Any ideas ? PS How do I add a picture of my car to a message ? |

If you replaced the front cylinders, I bet you have arir in the little pipe that connects them together. What happens is they get an air lock, and the fluid just moves to and for as you try to bleed. Undo the top nut on this pipe and bleed again until fluid comes out there, then tighten and bleed normally.. ![]() |
