Post subject:  Tie Rods - repair tip

In the past I thought if the rubber boot on a tie rod was fooked, you replaced the whole thing.

The other day I bought 2 new rubber boots only for my tie rods (couple of dollars each) and stripped / repaired them both.

So now I have two AS NEW tie rods for a measley few dollars.

Not a bad tip I reckon.

Hope you stuck some grease in there, too..

I bought a `grease needle' a while back, very handy for greasing old tie rod ends and knuckle joints, in situ.. 8)
