If anyone is interested, I finished my boot mod today. I had previously taken the number plate flap thinggy off and welded up the holes, but today I mounted the number plate light.

It looks fooking awesome and was not that difficult.

I will post a 'how to' on my site next week, with pics.

i have little memories of this from another thread but didnt take notice:
so you ripped the whole flap off and now gonna mount the plate directly onto the boot lid?
arent you going to drive around with big things in your boot and the boot lid open and ingeniously have the number plate showing?

reminds me once this dick behind me high beamed and followed me real close so i lost him at a round about
2minutes later on a stretch of road he caught up to me and yelled out
my boot lid was open and i was driving like that for the last half hour
**** i couldve lost my tool box when swurving round that 'bout
he wasnt a dick after all

I fitted the tail lights today. They had been in storage for 2 years...I forgot one was faded and one was cracked. They look shite. I need new ones.

JAM is it the metal fitting that doesnt fit right
or the plastic lens that doesnt fit right?

you can: bend the metal to fit the body (making sure the plastic lens will fit onto the housing

or just slowly shave off bit from the plastic lens

or is the gap is really small, use a rubber gasket.

how was it before, the body shouldnt have changed much
