is your blue slip based on the ADR's? cos i know that for down here, if i went to get a RWC on my colt, (it being a lot newer than your mini) i dont actually need a speedo in it cos it wasn't part of the ADRs until around 88. if its not neccessary to have one surely they couldnt fail you for having one that doesnt work?

mine doesntwork either but i k ow (roughly) what speed i'm doing based on RPM.

adeee. i think that the RWC rules state that if its there, it has to work? mine failed ages ago cos the heater didnt work, even though you dont REALLY need it...

yeh dylan you're prolly right... i was questioning it myself as i wrote it, hence the question mark. I was thinking about seeling my car a while ago and asked pete if i could be failed cos the dash lights dont always work unless you hit it, and he told me i didnt even need a speedo.

i once failed because the horn didnt work, the anoying thing is that i had just bipped at a mate about 100m down the road, i wasted my last good bip on a mate, argggg. Funny thing is, i was at his house that arvo, and saw a horn out of a mini, so i grabbed it!

Awwwwwwww, I dunno, Willy- the gestapo there don't seem to like Mini goodies- Webers, Dellortos, nice big fat wheels, or anything that looks non-original.
Sounds boring....

Haha Yeah true but not in my case, I gotta take my mini for it to be defected before april of next year lol. Cos I put 1275 in it  Big deal lol, with disc brakes whats the problem? Transport SA know the problem lol, I think myabe their scared I've put a bigblock ford in theee or something like that.....Now imagine turning up to the inspection with a big block under that small bonnet...hmm that'd give them a fright
PS- about webers and stuff I've heard they even defect for a smaller than original steering wheel, and I heard they defect for P-plate in window, so my dad is driving in down to em for me! :D
