Ok So how is it done? I can see these two little pegs that go throu the clutch and brake pedals with holes that look like a split pin is meant to go through. I cant push the peg through the other side, the little buggers just wont budge, how do you guys do it? What tools do you use? Its makeing me so maaadddd. Regards Mike |

In or out? If its out, then pull out the pin (split pin thingy) and push or pull the clevis pin (is that its name) out and then the cylinder will come out. If its in, then see here http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=21519 Cheers, Peter. |

You have to wiggle the pedal..push the brake (or clutch) pedal down slightly so it lines up the hole.. You can use long needle nose pliers..a screwdriver (flat head) is my choice.. If the clevis pin is extremely worn..i felt it easier to remove the whole bloody pedal box.. ![]() |

It has probably worn a nice double groove in the pin and is locking up on you. Patience and perseverence will be the key here. Try applying some WD-40 and leave overnight. The other way is to undo the nuts in the engine compartment and wiggle it from there as well. I used the end of a long bastard file and whanged the tail of it into the hole in the pin - it gave me just enough leverage to coax the pin out. Good luck and lots of cussin' Hooroo |

my clutch one came out nicely enough but the brake one wouldnt budge. so i got the crowbar out and slid it inbetween the two pedals and with a bit of leverage she was half way out. then got the vice grips on the other end and pulled the rest of the way out |
