hi all alas my drivers door lock has fallen out of the hole aka it turns in the hole in the door when i turn my key... does anyone know what the best adhesive is to use to stick the lock back to the door? a friend suggested sicaflex (spelling?) but i was wondering if there was a general concensus? |

just replaced my locks with those solex locks, a bit of filing and stuff but they work great, the way the original lock is held in is a little clip, scrounge in the bottom of your door, it wraps around the lock and has 2 wings poking out either side, dont glue it your lock need the clip to hold it still, when you turn that lock about the 2nd time it will turn it will just snap loose, failing finding the clip, nock something up with a washer so at least you can give that glue some surface area to grab, |

anyone know why my drivers door lock would fall out? is there a washer that needs to go on the inside skin? |

most auto door locks have a rubber seal between the panel and the barrell you could try an O ring ,it will give it a tight fit but wont stop it from being forced buy a screwdriver if you have a clubby with the long key try using a 90,s laser door lock, you will find that the mini ignition key will fit inside this , get a locksmith to rekey it and fit that, I have now done three mini's and is the best option PM if you need any help Im a locksmith in Penrith |

awesome thank you! i have the rubber under barrel things.. but haven't fitted them yet... it's popping out quite alot i thought maybe there were some form of metal prongs or a washer of some type that would hold the barrel to the internal door skin... but oh well! |
