i was just trying to find a part on the karcraft website and was wondering what the correct name of this would be.



Also a question about cv's, is there any difference in size and shape of disc cv's compared to drum. Just wondering if i can put disc one's in my drum hubs with tappered bearings.

Short answer for the CV's is no. Drum brakes have a different joint than disc ones(disc ones are a wee bit bigger in the shaft bit thingy...).

I have some drum CV joints for sale if you want them(brand new in the boxes - never used!). PM me if you are interested.

It is the rear hub shaft/shock mount for a dry suspension radius arm, they are a press fit into the hub.
p/no is 2A7351 (RH one), 2A7364 (LH one).
No idea if still available, lots of stuff is NLA now.
Easier to just go find another good arm.

Disc brake CVs will fit in a drum brake hub, internal dimensions are identical... but the disc type drive flange setup is totally different. No good if keeping drum brakes, and if going to discs the drum swivel hub has no mounting lugs for the caliper..

If you just want to fit Timken tapered rollers to a drum brake setup, then yes, they will fit, no problem. The outside and inside diameters of these are the same as the ball bearings.
On a drum brake CV they fit on the drive flange, on a disc brake CV they fit on the CV itself which is much thicker (& stronger).

Timkens will way outlast the ball bearings, they have around 2x the dynamic load capacity.

Its for honda brake conversion on drum hub, i heard that the disc cv's were stronger but if i need to get disc flanges its probably not worth it if there's not much difference.

Also i've got a kit to do the rear trailing arm and front upper arm roller bearings and shaft and was wondering can a mechanic do that or do i need a suspension place
Anyone know of someone that can do it in canberra cheap
