Post subject:  Need some help with my new mini! - in Adelaide

Hi guys,

I've just bought myself a Leyland '77 mini-van, and she's a little beauty!!

Unfortunately, I don't know a lot about car mechanics, and I need to get it serviced.
Where is a good place to get my Mini serviced in Adelaide around the Norwood area. I live near the city.

Thanks a lot.

Andrew

I can't answer your question, but I reckon owning a Mini and not knowing a lot about mechanicals is a dangerous combo!

Andrew

if you are just getting it serviced, why not learn how to do it yourself? Find an instruction manual and read up. If its just changing the oil and the fuel filter etc. theres plenty of into on this site

All the best with your mini :D

Adrian tells it like it is.....just dont take it to heart when he tells you something is ****ed....other people may describe it as loose or tired :)

you could just about push your car from Norwood to his workshop.....but i agree....buy yourself one of those gregory's manuals, and have a go yourself......owning a mini is a great way to learn about working on cars.....you're forced to in most cases

Yeah brickworx is good, adrian is probably good, i mean i know the guy but i went to his workshop once and he was rude to me so i never went back. But yeah there are many a nice little place who do a lot of servicing for mins etc are Miniking, aka Blair Athol Auto Parts, but by all means go to where you want and above all give it a go yourself, i leanrt through experience, so you can too!

BTW this is off topic a little but talknig about local mini places I live in one tree hill which is half way between munno para and gawler out in the hills. I went to Rhemac Motors as I was recommended and they ripped me off hugely. I'm talking by at least 1000 bucks! They are suppose to be a mini place but i had to wait on simple spares that any place realted to mini would stock. maybe more they couldnt prove any of the work they did. Never going there again but I would stop in at adrian's again as he didn't rip me off.

yeah you have to get used to adrian, never tried rhemac even though i live out that way now.
at least adrian's prices are very competitive.

I'd agree with that anbout adrian.Rhemac actually have apolicy about not being the best value (it says it on their business card, at least their honest about one thing!) i thought nothing of it.....i was wrong...tis in the psat and i'm happy with my car now so i'm not angry about it anymore.
