Hey all, A friend called me today, and handed me an interesting proposition...
He's got a guy who has many, many "Automotive" items (like petrol bowsers, that sort of thing) that have been in storage for a LONG time ....

They need a special person to restore them to theor former glory so that they can go to auction for a very attractive price ....

He's asked me to canvass the few Automotive forums I frequent and see if anyone is interested in a challenge like this....

Will need to travel to Kulnura (slightly south of the Hunter Valley, towards Gosford) and be very, very good at what they do ... they will be paid handsomley I'm assured....

If you are the right sort of person, or if you know someone who is .... and wants money / the challenge of a job of this magnitude... drop me an email to [email protected] and I'll pass it along...

just maybe your friend should get an expert to appraise the items first....he could de-value what he has by restoring it :idea:

definitely

to be honest... i wouldn't be touching them if you want them to retain their value

yeah that's true.. like alot of old houses.. Some people are willing to pay more for ones that arn't restored, so they can restore them to their own specific taste.. If only that was the same with minis I would be RICH :lol:

The pieces were restored in the 60's / 70's to meuseum standards and then put into storage.... unfortunately they were wrapped in a non-stable plastic wrap and it has stained the surfaces quite badly .... hence the need for a restoration....

Knowledge of Mechanicals, Paint & Prep and detailing is probably required...

This is a paying, Medium to short-term Job ....

THere are several WAREHOUSES FULL of this kind of thing . . .
