Is there an online site or anything else I can look up and running an engine number to tell me more specifics about it? or not. |

Heaps of them, just google "mini engine numbers". Not many engines are completely factory any more, so specifics are a bit harder, but if all you want to know is its capacity, then its a simple case of: 8***= 848cc 9***= 998cc 10***= 1098cc 12***= 1275cc Obviously this applies to the engines factory size. They can usually only go up in capacity from there! ![]() |

That one sounds very much like its an official number for a block that either had its number machined off or is an imported block that only had the alloy tag riveted on. In that case the identification of the engine size and type is very much more difficult. The rego papers that go with the car (if its registered) should have the engine size if the numbers match the rego papers. |

If you can post a picture of the engine we can at least tell you if its a small bore block, large bore block or an A+ engine. Even a camera phone shot would do |
