Ever since i got my mini all of my friends said i should race it against my girlfriend Letties 64 1600 pink beetle. Now this battle royale has been on the cards for months so the other night after we all went bowling we decided it was on!
So off to an undisclosed location we all went.I was feeling pretty confident as i have driven the beetle quite a bit and it seems sluggish compared to the mini. The start was supprisingly even but the mini opened up its lesd and was victorious.Im not normally a fan of drag racing but i had fun as did lettie and her pink beetle named betty.

Ah good times, but had i lost im sure i would not have told this story through fear of you all heckling me for losing to a beetle.(a bright pink one at that)

a 1600 beetle has the same HP as an 1100 mini, and weighs more, the start would be even because of the beetles RWD

When I was back in year 12 me and my mate used to race at least once a fortnight (my sad 998 mini vs. his 1600 beetle) and he only use to just beat me but he was alot lighter than me and his motor was healthier with twin kadron? carbies.

Then he got another beetle with a Stan Pobjoy motor than I had absolutely no chance in hell
