Hi Guys,

I'm changing from round the world 850 style shift to the later clubby remote setup.

I've cut a small hole in the floor, but don't know how big to go.

Does anyone have any pics of the clubby setup, from inside the car with carpet and the boot out of the way?

At the moment the hole is so small, I can change gears etc, but the round cap that goes on the end of the stick is pressed up against the floor (can't fit through). Should this be sitting up inside the car?

I know, keep it as small as I can, but at the moment, a little engine rock may cause probs, and I think RTA would like to see the mounts in place - not wire holding it up :D

That cup that you refer to does sit up in the cabin - the rod change mechanism fastened to the body in two places by brackets and "cotton reels" near where the gear stick comes through the floor. You do need those brackets otherwise gear changing will be difficult and the mechanism will just whack up and down on the floor each time you accelerate or deccelerate.

Sorry i dont have a photo but mine has carpet, a gear change boot boot cover and is held down by fasteners - not just a two minute job for a photo.

Thanks Mike - that's all i needed to know. I've got the brackets etc, time to make the hole a little bigger!

(car isn't rego etc at the moment, the wire was a temp to test the new engine and box before getting too excited about the little things... So far - all good).
